Howard J. Aizenstein, MD, PhD, is the Reynolds and Detlefsen Chair of Geriatric Psychiatry and Professor of Psychiatry, Bioengineering, and Clinical and Translational Science at the University of Pittsburgh. Trained in the computational theory of learning and in geriatric psychiatry, he applies AI and neuroimaging to brain aging, late-life depression, and dementia. His work addresses how precision technologies can serve, rather than replace, the human relationship at the heart of mental health care. He helps lead transdisciplinary training programs bridging engineering and psychiatry. |

Dr. Kristina Gicas is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley where she teaches clinically-oriented courses in psychology and conducts neuropsychological research in aging, dementia, and homelessness. She is also a licensed Clinical Neuropsychologist in British Columbia and conducts neuropsychological assessments for individuals across the adult lifespan. |
